The SASA Tree Climbing Championships 2015

The SASA Tree Climbing Championships (TCC) was held in the Adelaide Botanic Garden on Friday, 4th September 2015.

The event was proudly supported by the Adelaide Botanic Garden, the Adelaide City Council and TREENET.

The State’s leading professional arborists competed in various events throughout the day to make it to the final round of the Masters Challenge.

The finalists of the Masters Challenge go on to represent South Australia at the National Tree Climbing Championships to be held in Melbourne from Saturday, 20th February to Sunday, 21st February 2016.

The top (SA) place-getters in the preliminary events compete in this final. This event combines many skills of the arborist and tests their attention to technique, innovation and safety as they access the London Plane Tree – Platanus acerifolia.

Thank you and well done to both Jack Heithersay and Peter Oates from 1300 4 TREES for competing.

CONGRATULATIONS TO JACK HEITHERSAY on taking out the title for the second year running!
