Rescuing wildlife – all part of a hard day’s work!

During some recent work around Adelaide the 13004TREES team identified a large nest, high up in one of the trees to be removed. Once they noticed this the work stopped. Upon consulting with an Ecologist and getting a closer look of the mother, she was identified as a Peregrine Falcon. The Peregrine Falcon is native to Australia and is considered rare across all states and territories. The nest contained three eggs. The tree will remain in place until the falcon chicks have left their nest and can spread their wings. This will ensure the that they have the best chance of making their way to adulthood. Well done to all the team at 13004TREES!
